Shelf Life -
Due to the live active nature of the Symprove bacteria, the shelf-life is relatively short, generally approximately 2-3 months. You can expect an absolute minimum of 6 weeks shelf-life on a 4-bottle order or 8 weeks shelf-life on an 8-bottle order and we do our utmost to ensure this. But occasionally one slips through the net, so please contact us for if you receive product with shorter shelf-life than the this. We will have a pre-paid return postage label and replacement pack sent out to you if this is the case
Symprove can be stored at room temperature whilst unopened, but please keep bottles refrigerated once opened .

Does Symprove need to be stored in fridge?
"Before opening Symprove should be stored in a cool dark place. The bacteria in Symprove easily survive ambient temperatures. After opening Symprove should be kept in the fridge to ensure the live and active bacteria are kept in optimum conditions. Once a bottle of Symprove is opened it needs to be kept in fridge to maximise shelf-life. If travelling abroad with Symprove, it can go in the hold of an aeroplane without any problems. If the destination is warm/hot and there is no access to a fridge, we recommend a sink filled with cold water is used to keep the Symprove cool. The water should be changed regularly and kept as cool as possible. Symprove should never be frozen or heated as this would kill the bacteria.”
How often and what dosage does one need?
Simply fill the small cup (70ml) provided with Symprove and take every morning on an empty stomach. Wait 10 minutes (ideally) before eating or drinking. Occasionally, some people find they need to start with small amounts and titrate up gradually to the 70ml daily dose, as it can sometimes aggravate their gut symptoms otherwise. These individuals may be advised to consider functional diagnostic lab testing, such as Cyrex Leaky Gut Test, Organic Acid Test, IBS / SIBO Screen, or GI Effects Comprehensive Stool Analysis or consider scheduling a consultation with a nutritional therapy practitioner.
Where is it Made?
Symprove is made by Symprove Holdings Ltd. in the UK. The founding team have over 25 years' experience of making live culture products. All the ingredients in Symprove are sourced and produced in Great Britain.
Gluten-free & Wheat-free: Symprove is gluten free according to the Codex standard of <20ppm. Whilst barley, which contains a form of gluten, is used to make the liquid in which we grow the Symprove bacteria, the production process is carefully controlled to limit the release of gluten from the barley, and the barley grain is not included in the finished product. Compliance with the Codex standard for gluten free is confirmed with regular testing of batches of our finished Symprove products.
Sugar-free: The Original Flavour product has a unique and yeasty taste, which was not to everyone’s liking. To help palatability, we introduced the mango and passion fruit flavour, which has a tiny amount of artificial sweetener. Sugar is not used as this would affect the growth of the bacteria.
Vegan: Symprove does not contain any animal products in the formulation.
Non Dairy: Symprove is one of the few non-dairy live bacteria liquid formulations on the market.
Soya-free: Symprove does not contain any soya-based ingredients.
No Added Colours: Symprove does not contain any added colours.
